  Thallus pale fawn, thin, smooth to subtuberculate, dull. Ascomata black, conspicuous, numerous, scattered or crowded, or in conspicuous well-defined stellate clusters, semi-immersed to sessile, with a very thin thalline margin, 1–4 (–6) mm long, 0.05–0.10 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 100–120 µm thick, inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely 6–8-locular, 15–26 × 6–8 µm, I+ blue.
CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid.
     
  Corticolous on Doryphora in eastern N.S.W., Vic. and Tas.; endemic.
